1- Hire more staff. I need to make Arcobaleno run without me being there. So that means managers and producers, marketing teams and set builders. Scriptwriting is covered cuz Viola rocks my sock with her words ( she is the shit plain and simple) and I have 2 runways coaches so I am good there. We also have a dj and I can always call on one of my models to host a show. I will have to learn to let go and just sit back and relax.

2-Pick and choose my work wisely. No more castings outside of the agencies I am in and no more free shows because time is money ( forgive me fi you are personally offended by this but it is simply my point of view) We all know that being in this industry is an expensive way of life in SL so I can no longer give my time to things that do not boost my career or put lindens in my pocket. The business side of me kicks in when it comes to this. I would rather work than just have fun.

3- Blog more and add to my flickr. I do not do enough photos and since I have finally found my look I feel I need to do that.  Also I enjoy blogging and am looking forward to creating a new fashion blog very soon. So I will be able to chronicle my love of fashion with a fresh start.

I know it is a short list but this is all that is on my mind at the moment. I want to leave a lot of time in my day to be with someone who I think is a real sweetheart and could give me a new focus besides myself for a change lol. So for once this is all I am blogging about. No fashion today. TTFN!!!

I received a notice in Maritima Inc. with a lovely group gift of a skin from Maven Haus called Frostbite. It is a lovely skin with a slightly frozen top lip and icey makeup. I decided to check out the designer and visit her store to see what else she offered. When I touched down I was instantly drawn to the monocles in various color combinations of her focus wall in the landingpoint. i bought all 6 ( Blackon Black, Black on gold, Black on Silver, Silver on Silver, Gold on Gold and Gold on Black ). I also found 2 haute couture designs that I just had to have. This first one, in the inage above is called Raven. This design was just smashing with the dramatic ruffles and lacework on the bodice. I paired it with the Black and Silver Monocle with various haute accessories and the Frostbite skin for a fabulously dynamic look.

I decided to grab the bargain myself and take it to a beautiful art instalation/sim that my friend and DHD Head buikder Vox showed me called Illmersiva by Bryn Oh. I was taken aback by this personal and dramatic art installation that tells an amazing story of the artist throughout the sim. There are hidden wonders and an air of mystical “Tim Burton” like quality that I found very inspiring. I encourage you to grab your own minidress and head over to this sim for your own pic. Micah Kanto, Modern Gypsy Designer

A few months back I was on a mission to buy all of the “For the Love of McQueen” charity items and I came across Modern Gyspy, one of the participating stores. I instantly fell in love. And while I never actually found the charity item in this store I didn’t much care since I was so taken in by the designs and aparenty fabulous style of this designer. I had no idea who she was but I knew one thing, I was going to wear something from this store for the Mr&Miss VR International 2010 Pagent.

Recently I have noticed a big gain in popularty of her store which is great for the designer, Micah Kanto, but not so much for me. Ok, it’s selfish I know, but you know how when you have a secret great thing, a place that you feel only you know about, and you want to keep it all to yourself? That is what I felt about Modern Gypsy. Micah combines edge, sophistocation, style and a chic Paresian flare to her designs. There is something very fashion forward about what she creates and you can see it in her personal style she knows fashion and is a real designer not just someone who knows Photoshop and can put together a cute top and jeans. She is an artist.

Brinks Lemmon Puddles Designer

I was working on the new Arcobaleno Agency building at the Builder’s Brewery Sandbox when I came across a notice to go visit a new store called Puddles which was also casting for print modeling and possible live modeling. i came in dressed to impress in  a new U.F.O dress I came upon while doing a hunt and my Allure heels with rose-colored tights from Maitreya and Mandala pearl bracelets with matching earrings. My hair done up in a Ylena ponytail from Miamai. i walked into this beautifully chic building with very simple decor and a minimalist design. As I walked down the hallway I found the party with a dj, many models/shoppers and the designer Brinks Lemmon. She was wearing a fabulous new spring dress from Lelutka and coordinating heels. I hit it off with her instantly and bought a fatpack of her Diva Sunglasses. I loved them so much that I decided to show off my live modeling skills by wearing a pair to go with my outfit and parading around the store talking about how fabulous these sunglasses are. I was able to get 4 sales ( that I know of) and we all took the picture below.

After leaving the model house to save money for my new agency Arcobaleno, I was fonally able to afford a new place. I decided to go at it alone so that I didn’t have to rely on others to pay the tier on time. My Doll House Designs friends were buying up parcels on the same sim and talked me into doing the same. I purchased a small parce for myself and started looking for a studio apartment style skybox to life it. Living in a skybox on secondlife ususally means less lag and since i wanted my home to serve as my studio as well I figured it better be something I can modify to customize it to my taste. I searched xstreet and found a Carrie bradshaw style skybox complete with closet and city views.

I completely changed the textures of the skybox and began furnishing it very glam and very SATC (Sex and the City). Before long i had completed my place and was feeling very at pleased with myself. I was able to rezz my pug, Caramel, for companionship and also I rezz my tv for movie watvhing. I feel like Iam finally in a place that i can stay and at 6400L a month I can easily afford. This is truely the life on SL. My friends as neighbors, a successful start to my modeling agency, and my puggie and me in a fabulous studio apartment.
